How to set up Google Analytics on Squarespace
Google Analytics is one of the most important assets for an online business owner. The information provided can help improve your marketing campaigns and position your blog content to attract more readers and potential buyers. Thankfully, Squarespace has integrated Google Analytics. But, how do you set it up?
Create a Google Analytics account
If you don’t have a Google Analytics account, you can create one here. The program will ask you to enter the URL of the website you want to track and analyze.
locate your tracking code
On the dashboard on the left, below Property (your website), you will see a Tracking Code. Click on it and your Tracking ID will appear in this format: UA-XXXXXXX-X. Copy your ID.
Enter your tracking id on Squarespace
In your Squarespace dashboard, under the main menu, go to Settings → Advanced → External Services where you will find a Tab for Google Analytics. Paste your Tracking ID in the box. And you’re done!
